APLF - Materials, Manufacturing & Technology (MM&T) 2013
Materials, Manufacturing & Technology (MM&T) is the annual, premier, event of the global leather industry. Based in Hong Kong the exhibition serves as a hub for the leather business throughout all of Asia. It includes participation from southern China and, increasingly from the fast growing economies of India and south Asia. ‘If it's got anything to do with leather, you'll find it at MM&T.
The trade fair covers everything from raw hides, semi- and finished- leathers, tanning machinery, chemicals and dyes, to CAD/CAM and businesses services. MM&T attracts thousands of exhibitors and visitors from countries and regions around the world.
Developed from the original Hong Kong Leather Fair, MM&T started in 1984 and was the first ever Hong Kong ‘Mega Fair'. In 2012, MM&T celebrated its 28th anniversary demonstrating the company's ability to develop and adapt to what has become a fast changing industry.
The most profound change has been the integration of leather into the wider fashion industry. Today, MM&T carries comprehensive details of forthcoming seasonal colours, finishes and designs. At the same time, the character of the original event a quarter of a century ago, remains - namely, an unique opportunity to meet and greet, in person, face-to-face with potential customers and suppliers.
